Our adoption programme aims for stray and needy animals reaching our clinic and partner associations to find a permanent home. Before being adopted, animals receive examination, vaccination, parasite treatment, microchipping and (if age-appropriate) neutering.
Application process
- Choose the animal on the listing page and fill in the application form.
- Our volunteer speaks with you about your living space, other animals in the family and your experience.
- Meeting the animal and a first encounter (a home visit if needed).
- The adoption contract is signed; the animal is handed over with its microchip and health record.
- Phone follow-up on days 7 and 30 after adoption; the first check-up is free.
Contribution fee
Adoption is free; only a symbolic contribution stated in the listing is taken toward part of the vaccination, neutering and microchip costs already incurred. Adoption for resale is never allowed.
Responsibilities
- Not abandoning the animal or keeping it permanently on a chain or outdoors
- Maintaining regular vaccination, parasite control and vet check-ups
- Having the animal neutered at the age stated in the contract
- If the animal must be returned after adoption, returning it only to us
