Lokum – Four-Month-Old Mixed Puppy

Their story

Lokum is one of the puppies left in a box with her siblings at our clinic door. She was fed by a volunteer family and has completed her first vaccination series. Her weight and development are very good for her age.

Character

A curious, playful puppy with a tendency to nip; at this stage, because her teeth are coming through, she needs toys and chew items. House-training is under way. Puppy school and socialisation classes are advised.

Health

• Examined and in good general health
• Up-to-date combined vaccines and rabies vaccine given
• Internal and external parasite treatment done
• Microchipped and registered
• Second combined vaccine given; third dose and rabies pending
• Neutering to be done at 6–8 months (written in the contract)

What kind of home is needed?

She seeks a patient family that can take her out several times a day for training. The vaccination schedule is continued by the new owner at our clinic (third dose and rabies until week 16).
